Railsa, a Promaut Group company specialized in the development and implementation of railway automation and safety technologies, presented its new on-track object detection (SDO) technology during the UITP congress, held in Milan this June.
The SDO system, a low-cost solution for automating a line, can be implemented both indoors and outdoors, detects any type of object, with a detection speed of 100 ms, is easy to maintain and adapts to any type and length of station. Already installed in the Trinitat Nova station of the Barcelona Metro.
The system reduces costs by eliminating equipment such as platform doors, it can be installed easily and without affecting the service, even in old stations, and can be integrated with other technologies.
Likewise, Railsa presented the Siam project, within the framework of the working session number 6 “Intelligent Railway: operation and maintenance”.
